C250-0 Plus
With the growing popularity of spiral seam ducts in the construction industry, there is real need for a shear that can make short work of chip- and distortion-free cutting and ‘C’, ‘U’ and ‘L’ profiling in thicker materials. To fill this gap TRUMPF has introduced the new C250-0 Plus, a shear whose ability to cut mild steel up to 2.5mm thick and stainless up to 1.5mm, is unmatched.
Although primarily aimed at the H & V sector, this lightweight but robust shear is suited to a wide range of other construction applications. Cutting profiles in roofs and walls are just two. Either a straight or a curved cutter is supplied as standard to suit the application; in total there are five cutters to choose from. A simple pin locking mechanism releases the cutter for fast, tool-free cutter exchange.
C250-0 applications
Operating speed is also impressive – from 3-10 m/min. The shear produces a spiral chip that does not scratch the surrounding material, present any danger to the operator and can be cut off at any point in the process. It is rated for cutting 4 x 0.9mm or 6 x 0.6mm spiral seam ducts.
Weighing just 2 kgs, the C250-0 Plus features a compact 500W motor whose small circumference within the shears housing allows comfortable, single-handed operation. This new model has been introduced as a partner to the C160 that is designed for cutting thinner materials.
