In the future, TRUMPF will market the special versions of EHT press brakes, while EHT will focus on its bending/cutting core competencies

On December 5, 2003, the TRUMPF Group in Ditzingen, Germany, and EHT Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Teningen near Freiburg, Germany, started a worldwide sales cooperation that encompasses the areas of special versions of press brakes and guillotine shears.

As a result, TRUMPF is expanding its range of press brakes to include special machines and metal shears from EHT for thicknesses of up to 25 mm and working widths of up to 8,000 mm. The collaboration is restricted to sales of special machines. It must be pointed out that there are no corporate legal affiliations.

In addition to the standard versions of the TrumaBend bending machines of the E, C and V series, which have been successful in the market, TRUMPF now offers the TrumaBend S series. The designation "S" stands for versions that, with respect to press tonnage, working width, larger stroke, backgauge systems, equipment options and automation features, go beyond the product range currently being offered.

"In the past, the market kept on demanding press brakes with specifications that went beyond the standard product range. Now, the sales cooperation with EHT will allow us to offer such special machines almost everywhere in the world. For example, we can now also serve industry sectors such as heavy steel construction," as Hans-Jochen Beilke, Managing Director of Sales at TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co. KG, emphasizes the advantages to rounding off the product line.

All the standard machines of the TrumaBend E, C and V series are manufactured in TRUMPF plants located in Austria and Asia. The customer-specific development and production of the TrumaBend S series takes place exclusively at the EHT plant in Teningen.
