MACHINE PRECAUTIONS

The time of year has arrived again whereby most customers close for the period between Christmas and the New Year. Although ambient temperatures are currently quite mild the weather conditions may change for the worse.

With this in mind, TRUMPF strongly recommend that precautions are taken to ensure that the ambient temperature of buildings/workshops are maintained at a level well above “freezing point” to prevent cooling systems problems during the shutdown period. It is also recommended that machine controls are fitted with new batteries prior to the machines being switched OFF in order to prevent control problems when work is commenced. The other option to prevent control problems is to leave the machines switched ON at the cabinet isolator with the “emergency stop” button activated.

Failure to comply with the above could result in major inconvenience and cost to yourselves when work is commenced in the New Year but more importantly could result in the invalidation of machine Warranty and/or Service Contract agreements should a problem arise.

TRUMPF will be closed for the period Friday 22nd December 2006 from 1pm to Tuesday 2nd January 2007 but problems encountered during this period for customers who are working can be logged on “voice mail” by calling the Service Help Desk number – 0870 125 2300 - whereby it will be dealt with on our return.

On a more cheerful note may we take this opportunity of wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
