The process stability of a laser cutting machine depends, to no small degree, on the condition of its support slats. If they are dirty, not only does the process become less stable but the quality of the finished parts also suffers.

With the TSC 1 slat cleaner, TRUMPF offers a novel type of power tool which lets you clean the support slats on practically all conventional flatbed laser machines quickly and reliably and save money at the same time. After all, you can now clean the support slats several times before they have to be replaced. This yields savings of up to 75 percent. Even when compared to cleaning by hand, costs are at least two third lower.

Thanks to its automatic forward feed, operation of the slat cleaner is a breeze. The TSC 1 is extremely fast. This is made possible by two pairs of roller which crush the slag. The cleaner adapts automatically to different slag thicknesses so that even heavily contaminated support slats are no problem anymore. On flatbed laser machines with a pallet changer, cleaning takes place while production is running. You don't even have to remove the support slats. The days of time-consuming cleaning by hand or with tools that you built yourself are finally a thing of the past.
