HIGH PRAISE FOR TRUMABEND

When ht admatom engineering visited Aish Technologies, a Dorset subcontractor, it was with the view to buying a second hand punch press manufactured by a TRUMPF competitor. The end result could not have been more different.

Aish Technologies has recently bought two TRUMPF machines and the difference this investment has made to its production prompted ht admatom engineering to re think its strategy. Rather than depend on old technology, it decided to take advantage of the production potential offered by the very latest in punching and bending. ht admatom engineering therefore ordered a TrumaBend V1300 partnered by a TC3000 punching machine.

Although the company specialises in fabrication for the oil and gas industry, ht admatom engineering is now looking to widen its scope. “We used skilled labour to produce small batches, mainly in stainless,” explained Director Adam Thomas. “We now want to apply our talents to larger volume production across a greater range of materials through automation.”

Build quality, technical superiority and easy operation were the fundamental reasons why ht admatom engineering chose the TrumaBend V1300. “Aish Technologies told us how popular this machine was with their workforce, everyone wants to use it!” Adam Thomas continued. “It’s also highly productive.”

One of the attractions of this high capacity press brake for ht admatom engineering was its hydraulic clamping of the top and bottom tools making changeover both quick and easy.

“We’ve learned a great deal from TRUMPF, they’ve helped us every step of the way,” Adam Thomas concludes. “The machines may cost a little more but they’re well worth it.”
